Why we do this

Charcoal costs more than money.

Most Zambian households still cook on charcoal, and every bag of it starts as a standing tree. The cost lands twice — once at the market, and again on the woodland around our cities.

We start from the other end. Sawdust from timber yards, dust from the coal depots, cassava from the fields — waste that was already going to be thrown away — pressed into a fuel that lights easily, burns steadily and leaves less smoke in the kitchen.

What you get

  • Burns longer and steadier than loose charcoal, so one load lasts through the cooking.
  • Less smoke and less spitting — easier on the cook and on the pot.
  • Uniform blocks, so you know exactly what you are buying every time.
  • Made from waste material, not from felled trees.
  • Made in Lusaka, sold in Lusaka — no import, no long haul.
What we make

Three products. One idea.
